5-02-04 Spent lots o'money on car yesterday. ^_^ But drives nicely, smoothly now. Got some things fixed that I should have fixed last August. Unfortunately fixing this things meant I didn't get to sleep until 4 pm! So very tired now.
Only about 52 more days until my hopefull Alaska vacation.
5-04-04 I heard on the news today there are forest fires in our area again. Ick.
I'm trying to change the shift I work on, but so far no luck. I'll try again in a week or two.
Our fridgerator is melting and growing mold, at the extra water is dripping out of the bottom of the fridge.
I'm still not feeling well :( and I'm very tired.
But I got to talk to an old boss of mine, an old advisor, and a friend all in the past two days, so that was great.
I sent in my application to CCSN, and I'll call them in the next few days and register for a summer class or two.
5-17-04 So far, I'm feeling a little better, have been feeling really sick lately. Saturday was especially scary, I got dizzy and kept having... hot flashes it felt like. It was nice weather outside, but I kept getting hot, and sweating, even though the temperature was more than nice and cool.
My mother called that day and kept telling me that she "couldn't get Sunday off in August." I had no idea what the hell she was talking about. I asked her if I could call her back when I got home. She I guess had planned to take the last Sunday off in August, but I know I called and told her that I was going to Indiana and Oklahoma, because she told me when I was in Oklahoma to bring everything to Las Vegas and I had to explain that everything wouldn't fit in my car. So I told her again. I also told her that I was planning to stop off in 'Vegas on the 23rd of June. I didn't tell her about my plans on going to Alaska, but I told her that I'd bring her some of my stuff. She then wanted to make plans for her to drive out and pick up some of my big stuff in her station wagon on the 6th and 7th of August.... I have a lot of big stuff... not that much is going to fit in her car. Crazy lady. there's a television, microwave, laundry basket, cabinets for the bathroom..., a table, I don't think tooo much else will fit.
I've been having weird mini-dreams lately, which I guess is good, since I haven't dreamed in a long time. I think I haven't been dreaming, because my subconscious has been watching Pirates of the Caribbean. How annoying, and now it's like I can't sleep during the day if that movie isn't playing. I can't even sleep to any other movie! (Although on a cool side note, I have heard that Johnny Depp has signed up for Pirates 2 and 3, both to come out in 2006, 6 months apart.)
Unfortunately I'm still tired all the time. I think it's because I don't seem to get any real sleep. I wake up every time the movie ends, after about 2 hours and 13 minutes.
Plus this week I did one day of over time, so I worked five days, had one day off and now I'm working another 6 days. So I'm tired, but hopefully my next pay check will have a little bit of extra money. It's like, I pay one bill off and another one starts up right away.
On a good note, I have picked names for children in a story, Kerrinda, Kurry for short, for a girl, and Jamalish for a boy.
5-18-04 Bonjour toute la monde. My vacation got approved, so soon Lady Rayven and I will be driving to Alaska. I'll stop in 'Vegas to pick her up, and to look at a few apartments. A lady who works for the company I work for lives in 'Vegas, and she suggested the apartments that she lives in as a good location, in walking distance to banks, grocery stores, and the strip. In a weird way I kind of want to meet this lady, I've only ever talked to her on the phone, and she seems really nice and interesting.
I called one of my old advisors and asked about the MFA program in creative writing at UNLV, and he said that it's better than an MA program, he also said that he'd write me a letter of recommendation when I was ready to apply to the program, which is cool. He had said previously that he would write me a letter, but that was when I was planning on going to Korea. But it's nice to know that he'll still write a letter for me.
In an irrational sort of way I'm excited, I want to go back to school, I don't know what to do when I'm not in school, and this program look like exactly what I wanted. Of course on in a location that I wanted, but definitely the writing program that I would have chosen.
I also got informed that I'll be moved to the swing shift on May 31st. That shift seems excited that I will be moving there, and I get a long with all the people, as far as I know, so I'll be able to get to sleep, hopefully, and I won't have the stress and tension that is currently on my shift now. Of course they don't know that I'm quitting in the middle of August, but oh well, they'll learn soon.
~'Cause I only feel alive, when I dream at night.~
5-23-04 So, yesterday I got the oil changed in my car, and the tires rotated. The guy broke one of my rims :( I'll have to see if my dad can get me another one/four. Got new headlight bulbs, and I got new screws for the headlights today, maybe I'll try putting them in tonight. I still need to get new windshield wipers before my trip. I was going to go and get my car washed today, but every car wash place that I passed was closed, and since it looks like it's going to rain I just parked on the roof of the parking garage, maybe I'll get lucky and get a free car wash ^_^ I also got new shoes yesterday, 'cause my everyday shoes were falling apart. It was really bad. So the new ones I got are platforms ^_^ make me taller. I might have a kitty waiting for me when I move. Baby Frost, named after a character in Laurell K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series. And I'm going crazy, I so want to go out and buy kitty stuff, but Frost isn't even a week old yet. I hope baby Frost lives, although it'd be kind of funny if Frost turns out to be a girl. Lady Rayven and I are reading Seduced by Moonlight together. LordlyMight is back in the USA. I think that's all that's happening right now.
